The Four Mondays Origin Theory

I have a saying. I also often have a case of the Mondays.

As I walk into the office on any day that is not Friday, I often greet people, "Happy Monday!" Half facetiously, maybe serious. As such, "Happy Monday" greeting are repeated four days a week.

For as long as I remember, I've always done this. When people ask why, I reply, "Monday is more of a feeling than a statement of fact."

I was flipping through my old private blog entries, and I came across this one:

four mondays

Well, that explains a lot. And yet nothing at all. And on a Thursday, no less.

Anyhow, it actually is Monday today (by pure coincidence, mind you), so I'll leave myself with this greeting:

Happy Monday!
